History of The Arc of Pitt County
The Arc of Pitt County was established nearly fifty years ago. A number of interested citizens gathered to form our Chapter of The Arc, a national organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Members of The Arc of Pitt County give their time and are committed to bettering the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Our Chapter of The Arc is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States and The Arc
of North Carolina; all non-profit organizations.
The local chapter is self governed and directed locally by its members and its board of directors.
